Test New Designs

Thank you kindly for your interest in test knitting for me! Some helpful info about test knitting and FAQs:

What does it mean to become a test knitter? You will have the opportunity to knit the garment before the design is released. You are testing the design to ensure that the garment fits as intended and that the pattern is written clearly.

Is there a deadline? Yes, typically I allow 5-6 weeks, from the time yarn is received.

What does the due date mean? The garment and feedback form must be finished by the day specified. The launch day will be a few days following. This allows time to upload your finished object photos on Ravelry and to prepare photos to post and share.

Do I need to supply feedback to the pattern? The tester feedback form must be completed by the test due date. Feedback is also encouraged in group chat. You do not have to e-mail me any notes.

What is group chat? A chat is created including the group members testing the current design. We chat about the test and feedback pertaining to the pattern. It is also an opportunity to connect with fellow knitters.

What do you look for in a test knitter? Someone who has shown engagement with the design and is motivated. It is also necessary to have a public Instagram profile with clear photos and a Ravelry account to upload the finished object to.

I want to change an element to the design, such as the ribbing. Can I do that? I generally do not mind changes like this, but the alteration must be accepted by me in another personal message. Not in group chat.

How it works: Submit your e-mail below. Confirm subscription. I will send out a tester invite e-mail containing a form to submit for the design that needs to be tested. Don’t worry, I don’t like spam either ッ *The test knitter e-mail list will only be used for tester purposes. Promotional e-mails may be submitted through the “newsletter” tab.

The testers are chosen within 1-3 days of submitting. Once selected, you will receive an email containing the PDF. The group chat is then created with the members testing the design.

Thank you!
