Throughout the years of knitting, I have discovered some personal favorite yarns, notions, and accessories. Here are a few of my favorite things 🐑

It may come as no surprise to you if you have been following along for the past couple of years how much I love Wooldreamers yarn. All of it. But for the sake of keeping this on the shorter side, I have linked a few of their different yarns. However, within the linked websites, almost all of their yarn can be found.

Wooldreamers Saona. I had the wonderful honor of personally selecting the color palette to share a story for this beautiful collection. Saona is a lofty fingering weight yarn made of cotton from Andalusia + wool from local flocks and native breeds in Spain. The 7 colors are Notes, Ozetta, Sarichef, Guthrie, Groen, Fratelli, and 1985. Designs featured in this yarn: Air Tee, Lakes Tee, and the Earth Pullover, (and another new design with this yarn on my needles soon) ◡̈ Discover the meaning behind each name through this interview.

Progress keepers and stitch markers add magic to your knitting, especially when they are handmade by the lovely Maria of Forestcharm (_cozygoth_ on Instagram). She has updates often, so if you do not see any in her shop at the moment, be sure to follow her on IG to keep up to date with her drops!

This year I really began to notice a lot of pilling on some of my most worn garments. This is a game-changer for making your knits look like they came fresh off the blocking mats. However, do not use it on garments that contain mohair.

A couple of years ago, I shared an Instagram reel on how to felt two ends of yarn together to prevent having to tie knots and ends into your garment. I have since discovered a 100% wool felting block instead, and I am still using the same felting needle.

100% natural wool socks are my favorite. I receive this question the most about using the recommended yarn: will the sock itself hold up? I think that no matter the yarn used, the sock could eventually get holes, show signs of wear, etc. If you are afraid of how the sock may hold up using natural wool, you may also add strength by holding Léttlopi with silk mohair. However, you may absolutely use any yarn you would like as long as you are able to meet gauge. Socks pictured from left to right, Comfort, Woodsy, Camp (in two options), and Lodge.

SeeKnitKA-Bamboo needles in both the 4” and 5” needle lengths. I use the 4” needle length to knit the sleeves, cuffs, and collars.

I have used these shell buttons on a couple of my cardigan designs and love how lightweight they are for unspun yarn. I also used these buttons on the Miles Shirt Jacket but used the back of them for a different look.

A new favorite is the Tales Woolbag. It is made of manchelopis wool that has been felted to create a lightweight, durable, and undoubtedly unique crossbody bag. Mine made its way on vacation with me, and it was the perfect crossbody to keep my hands free (and to store my current wip in).

Wool4Life by Wooldreamers-Tales Woolbag. Though this bag was gifted, I genuinely love it and highly recommend it.

The moment I made my Port Sweater using a combination of Mota and silk mohair, I fell in love. I loved this wool so much that I wanted to knit something with Mota alone, used in the Seaway Pullover.

Wooldreamers Mota. One of Wooldreamers’ softer yarns and is a lofty DK/Worsted weight with a wide color range. Yarn may be found via any of the links in the first section.

Another favorite of mine…moments like this. Find any moment in your day, and make it a personal favorite. Knit memories like this into whatever you are making, and let it be a reminder of what that moment was.
